About the Institution
Established in 1937 as Colegio Industrial Colombo-Venezolano, it moved to its present site in 1941. In 1950, it adopted the name Instituto Colombo-Venezolano. In 1958, the Colombian Ministry of Education granted official authorization. General Conference authorized it as a two-year postsecondary school in 1960. Then in 1969, it was authorized to offer the four-year Bachelor of Theology program. In 1978, the college added two other four-year programs; one in music education, the other in business administration. In 1983, the Colombian Government granted official recognition and full accreditation to the three programs. In 1986 the name was changed to Corporacion Universitaria Adventista (CORPUA). After that the acronym was changed to UNAC. The institution has 26 academic programs with simple register of the Columbia State, 17 programs are functioning.
