About the Institution
Jones College is a private for-profit college founded in 1918 in Jacksonville, Florida. The college is not regiolly accredited, but is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). The colleges main Arlington Campus is located on the east bank of the St. Johns River at the base of the Mathews Bridge. There is a second campus on the west side of town. A third campus, in Miami, Florida, was closed in August of 2010. The college curriculum includes bachelors degree and associate degree programs in a variety of fields and now offers distance learning.
