About the Institution
The Advancement office is committed to ensuring that UOIT continues being innovative and responsive to the needs of students and the market-driven requirements of employers, helping UOIT further its growing national reputation for research excellence. Our mission is to increase sources of funding for our students while developing lifelong relationships with alumni and friends. By securing these resources, we can support excellence in student education, research and create a quality campus life for students and the community. As UOIT grows and evolves, so too will our relationships with our friends and partners. Together we will explore various areas of applied research and develop educational programming that will lead to solutions that will make a difference to residents and businesses across Canada and around the world. The support of generous donors is instrumental in helping us achieve our vision of attracting top students, highly-skilled researchers and building a campus for the 21st century. As Ontario's first new university in nearly 40 years, we face new challenges and opportunities. In order to reach these goals, it will take many sources, including individuals, families, foundations, associations, unions, service clubs and corporations to work with us along the way. We are seeking support at all levels of giving, whether it be toward the construction of our expanded campus facilities, meeting the needs of students through our scholarship and bursary program, or through our research program, aimed at attracting top faculty from across the globe.
