About the Institution
"The University De La Salle Bajio was founded by Dr. Manuel de Jesus Alvarez Campos, Brother of the Christian Schools, a man of iron will and apostolic, visionary educator. His commitment to youth education, the project inspired him to expand educational work of the Brothers to respond to the needs of Higher Education. That was how, as Director of the preparatory section of Columbus College of the City of Mexico, founded the Universidad La Salle (ULSA) in 1962. Brother Manuel served as Rector of the ULSA until 1968, when his superiors he was moved to Leon, Guanajuato. to lead La Salle High School of this city. "
