About the Institution
Russian State Social University (RSSU) was established following the Decree of the Government of Russian Federation of November 25. 1991. The University has become first and it is still the only one state social university in Russia, Baltic states and CIS.
In short time Russian State Social University was formed as a complex educational, scientific, research, informational and analytic centre which is able to solve tasks on a level of current demands.
The University has modern educational facilities, sports and reading halls, comfortable halls of residence, holiday hotels and recreation centers, its own Centre of social and cultural activities. In structure of Russian State Social University there are more than 40 branches and representations, 9 International centers of social education.
In accordance with licence more than 100 thousand of students from all regions of Russia get high social education by 109 specialties. More than 25 thousand from them study in Moscow. Postgraduate training, retraining and professional development are carried out on 21 directions. The University has 7 dissertation councils on defence of a doctoral and candidate
