About the Institution
Lomonosov Moscow State Academy of Fine Chemical Technology owns several educational scientific and household buildings in the centre of the city, in M. Pirogovskaya Street and near South-West underground station with the total area of 100 thousand square metres.
In 2003 there was built a new complex of buildings in the south-west of Moscow. It has modern lecture rooms and well-equipped laboratories. The laboratories are equipped with modern devices and instruments such as tlc, glc, hplc, SEM, polarographs, viscometers etc. thus having all the necessary settings and equipment both for teaching and scientific research.
The Academy has an inter-educational Centre of collective use in instrumental analysis of structure and materials of different nature where there is unique and expensive equipment to carry out fundamental and applied research work.
The new library has not only big reading halls with more than 240 thousands volumes but also a modern computer room with Internet at its disposal. The Academy has its own local information calculating network with internet and a number of classrooms with multimedia technique.
There is a modern assembly hall at the Academy (with 600 seats) where scientific conferences and different cultural actions are held. The main role in them belongs to students
