About the Institution
LUniversité de Toulon et du Var (UTV) sinstalla en 1968 entre mer et montagne sur un prestigieux domaine agricole de 20 hectares. Cette propriété, mi-forêt mi-vignoble, abritait le Château Saint Michel, ancienne résidence dété des seigneurs de la Garde au XVIe siècle. Il possédait les plus belles caves de la région. Quelques siècles plus tard, le domaine a été vendu à la ville de Toulon qui avait trouvé un terrain idéal pour construire luniversité.
